When I m scared

There are times when I m in a conversation on phone & am not able to listen & understand what the person at other end is saying. But to my surprise I can hear that too which is not even said when I m scared. Damn... I m scared. I was off to bed & really sleepy & suddenly my body became very alert & now I can hear the sounds coming from neighbouring buildings too, let apart the sounds coming from flats in our own building. Needless to mention, I have already closed all the doors from inside. I can hear my clocks clicking; tick-tick. Those little drops making their way out from the loose tap then falling on to the floor is waking me up from the just caught up sleep, each time the drop taps the floor. Somebody coughing in the flat above ours, some body moving the furniture in some flat. Some different sounds made by plastic bags, may be pigeons in the vicinity are settling & fluttering around just before calling it a day...But fear hardly understands. Super alert state of my mind has already sent messages to my lungs to pump more blood & my heart to pound faster & how I choose to deviate my mind is just documenting my feelings. Feeling better right now but this creepy feeling is not letting me rest my head on my pillow. I can clearly hear somebody walking on the floor above ours. Sound of a fan & air created by its rotations which is usually soothing & rhythms me to sleep; generally, but not when i am scared. Damn!

Generosity

It was a rushy day after a tiring night... At 9:00 am, hastily I ushered to kitchen to find my energetic father in law already mid way the kitchen chores.... cheerfully he asked me "soi na" ( morning conversation between us has very limited lines, it starts with "soi na"; rest shall follow) OK one more thing, this " soi na" has many inferences like; did you sleep well? Did your baby sleep well & in turn could you sleep? So, this is routine with him to ask me if I could catch ample sleep. Further, he will offer me warm water & then his indigenous tea. I really relish my days when they start with tea made by him. .

Thank You Driver of The Red Car

Hey! Thank you Gentleman "Driver of Red Car." Just like any other day apprehensions hovered my head, if I could do it... should I move step by step or just run like crazies and try my luck if I can cross past the road without getting hit? Oh yes, these are the very feelings I get while crossing the roads. After many such step by step efforts, half the road is crossed and wait...what is this? I find myself running back. Right to the edge I started from... I am observing each one of those vehicles, some in speed, some crawling and some confused- riding like snakes and some glaring just to turn us blind (what else?) and The Panic mongers- how can we forget this species found on all kind of roads.
